FACES OF TOMORROW MEDICAL MISSION

I have served as the Creative Media and Social Media Director for Faces of Tomorrow medical mission for the past 5 years. Each year on the volunteer missions, I produced mini-documentaries each day to engage followers and donors on social media, predominantly Facebook, to encourage a feeling of inclusion and to keep the people who help make the missions possible informed of day to day success stories. In addition to the digital films, I shoot stills and create the social media posts to create a full media story of the mission's work. I serve in the roles of Director, Producer, Writer, Editor, Social Media Manager for the mission.

Each year I produce an overview of the mission to be shown at Faces of Tomorrow's main fundraiser which is held in Sacramento, CA. The purpose of the film is to highlight the wonderful patients who we were able to help and to show the value of our mission to changes lives for the better!

This is part one of a mini-doc for Faces of Tomorrow social media guiding our followers along the journey of one of our patients, Rosalyn Mahina. Rosalyn is a 16 year old high school student. When she came to check in, she would constantly hide her face with her long hair. In this first part of her story, we meet Rosalyn at her high school to pick her up for her surgery.
